Safety Guide - Don't Get LinkedIn Restricted
LinkedIn is a business networking platform designed to allow for business owners to connect, share and grow in a digital space and affords us rapid business growth when used correctly. That said, it is a FREE service and contains within it the rights and privileges to restrict what it deems to be unfair or misuse of the platform at any given time. As do every other social platform available in the marketplace. Part of being an online business owner is to adapt and overcome the ever changing environment in which you operate. Follow these best practices to avoid drastic changes in your business but expect and be flexible should they occur.
The reduction in activity allowed on Linkedin should be remembered and reflected in the results you are now able to produce when promoting your business to Realtors on Linkedin
The use of Sales Navigator or being a premium member holds no sway over the connection function or limitations base because that still happens under the functionality of LinkedIn Basic (the free account). Sales Navigator simply facilitates
the ability to reach a target audience for the purpose of connecting with valuable people.
1. Keep connection rates above 10%. That means if you send 100 invitations, and you get less than ten connections, the target market is not responding in a healthy way to the invitations and changes are needed. (reach out in the group for support if that happens).
2. Interact via the newsfeed for 10 minutes or more prior to starting your daily outreach.
3. Do not manually view profiles as that will increase your daily views and activity which should be kept to a minimum.
4. Check your pending requests or under 300 (most auto tools will handle the deleting of old requests but you must check it).
5. If you received ANY warnings stop the outreach immediately and do nothing for 24 hours. Then for the next 7 days, reach out manually to your network via your mobile device starting from 10 per day building back up to 50 and if no new restrictions or warnings are occurring switch back to using automation.
6. Keep your connections strictly to 2nd and third degree.
7. Personalize the connection message (never connect without one).
8. Keep information in your profile up to date and visible (including contact information - personal email address is best).

1. If a restriction on connections occurs, follow the instructions given when logged in to your account and appeal the restriction, this may include verifying identity.
2. Remember all platforms like this operated by and large on automation using their own robots to detect activity, so be patient and wait for humans to become available.
3. Expect long delays as again, this is a free service and the customer support is not prioritized. (2 weeks seems to be the current waiting time).
